Similar thing happened with me. I have Polymyositis which was diagnosed soon after I delivered my baby. It affected my thighs and calf muscles. Also, my lungs are bit affected (little scarring), but I don’t have any symptoms like coughing or any breathing issues. Currently, I am on Steroids and Azathioprine. Hopefully I will not progress further.

Your story is very similar to my story, I have birth in July. Now I have miositis on my legs (specially my thighs). I struggle to walk, I can’t be standing for more than 3 minutes without getting dizzy and my thighs are swollen, so my legs feel very heavy. It’s been extremely depressing. I cannot longer run (I used to be incredibly athletic- run 9+ miles a week) and now I struggle to take a couple of steps. How are you feeling after treatment?

My doctor has refused to give me any kind of steroids. I’m in pain, exhausted and hating every minute of it. As I write this I have my crying 8 month old hitting me on the arm asking me to play with her….i am exhausted.

I just started mine and I haven’t seen any difference. My doctor refused to give me
